Does not matter.  You can enter any occupation you want.  The IRS only uses that information for statistical purposes.

Enter anything you like even if it is not on the list since it doesn't make a difference  ... I prefer domestic goddess myself.

if you tell us your occupation maybe we can help.  but for purposes of the 1040 any wording works.  even "NONE".   for schedule C also any wording works so where are you having a problem.
