W-2 Federal and state wages are different but the no adjustment was made on the state return.

If the state wages are different than the federal wages reported in box 1 of the W-2, you need to carefully go through the state return and watch for questions regarding differences in the state return.  The software will notice there is a difference and try to make an adjustment with your guidance.

If TurboTax automatically made an adjustment, then it will tell you and you must agree with that and otherwise, it may ask you if an adjustment is necessary.  If so, then you will need to answer the questions appropriately and carefully so they will carry to the state return.

We do not have access to your return.

I do not know what state was listed on your W-2.

If you have additional questions, please update this question with additional information regarding the state tax return that is involved and any other necessary information,
