Unemployment 1099-G states income in box 1. Income shows in box 2. I assume this doesn't matter. Do I enter the dollar amount paid in box 2 or am I missing something?

You are correct.  The Boxes on Forms 1099-G don't always align with TurboTax.  So in your case, put the amount you were paid (box 2 on the form) into the box 1 input in TurboTax.
