Turbox Tax Premier 2020 on Mac: Does not reconize .tax2019 file

Hello,

I just downloaded and installed TurboTax Premier 2020 on a MacBook Pro (Mac OS Big Sur Version 11,chip: Apple1) . When trying to use my 2019 taxes the program has my .tax2019 files greyed out. The files are on the computer but Turbo Tax Premier 2020 doesn't recognize it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like your user account might not be an administrator account.

Be sure that the .tax file has read/write permissions of everyone (use Finder -> highlite the file -> File -> Get Info to see and modify permissions.

Thanks for the advice. I made the file Read and write for everyone, but it is still greyed out while trying to pull it into Turbo Tax Premier 2020 as a starting point for the 2020 return.
