TurboTax will not allow me to submit my return with $0 listed in Column B as is listed on the 1095-A form from the Marketplace. How do I address this?

The SLCSP premium is incorrect if:

  • Part III, Column B has a “0” or is blank for any month someone in your household had the Marketplace plan
  • You had changes in your household that you didn’t tell the Marketplace about — like having a baby, moving, getting married or divorced, or losing a dependent.

If either applies to you, you’ll use the government's tax tool to get the premium for your second lowest cost Silver plan. Failure to do this will result in a wrong calculation of the premium tax credit.

Thank you.

I just got off the phone with the Marketplace and they provided me with the information for column B.  However, when I enter that into my Turbotax information, by refund shot up by $17000.

My column C remains Zero as I declined to use the tax credit during the year to cover my premiums.

Is this correct?

I'm not sure about the amount, but it should be normal that your refund increases as you have a premium tax credit because you did not take an advance.
