I have used TurboTax for many years to complete complex returns and had little issues before now.
Having completed my 2021 Tax Return, I produced an amended version due to an error by Maryland State on Unemployment. The amended summary indicated a refund by both Federal and State, but while the Federal 1040 correctly reflected the refund calculations, the Maryland State 502 and second page of the summary reflected a payment with vouchers. The change in income was correctly reflected in the software but the MD Refund reported in the summary was also displayed.
Is this a glitch in the software?

It's hard to say without seeing the actual returns but in a lot of cases an amended return will show a refund. It will just be a lower refund than the one on the original return. In that case even though the amendment has a refund on it you have an amount owed because you have to pay back the difference.
Thanks for your response. The original state of MD payment request changed with the amendment on the summary and program, byt the produced documentation showed a payment. The only change was the removal of state unemployment income. The stste response is these are your figures. Specificallycan I request this return be reviewed, based upon my belief this might be a glitch?
Two thoughts. 1. You could call in and tell them you believe there could be a glitch and see if a phone person can see your screen and help you. 2. You could create a fake return showing the problem and post the original and amended fakes with the issue for all to see and comment here in Community. I wouldn't recommend using your actual information.
Before all of that please note, an amended return requires more input. The state could have changed something or you may not have made a payment that you should have, the possibilities of changes are endless. You have to read through all the lines on the amended and make sure you marked any refund as actually received along with the amount being correct and so on.
