Turbotax pays NOTHING for you and the state balance due cannot ever be paid with a federal refund .... you must pay your state balance due as you choose to do in the FILE tab ...
First :
Was your state return accepted? Better double check.

Next:
Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the state cover sheet with the Turbotax logo. If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay. Read the state payment instructions carefully since most states cannot be paid from within the TT system and requires additional steps.

How do I get a copy of a return AFTER I filed this year in TurboTax Online?

Before 10/15/19 .... To get whole return with all the worksheets please log back in your TurboTax account and "add a state" to open the return back up (you are not really adding a state, just to open it back up), then select Tools and choose the print center, then select returns and choose the radio button to include all worksheets.
Be aware that TurboTax does not, can not, and will not pay taxes for anyone under any circumstances to any taxing authority. When you owe taxes, TurboTax does not act as a middleman in that transaction. There are no exceptions.
Did you have the mistaken idea that your federal refund would pay your state tax due? That is a common mistake.
Your state tax due cannot be paid from your federal refund.
It is not possible to pay your state tax due from your federal refund, nor is it possible to pay a federal tax due from a state refund. The federal and state treasuries are completely separate from each other. You may have seen a TurboTax summary of your federal and state amounts that confused you into thinking one was “paying” the other. It is not. If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website. You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment. For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.
