I previously had.  I also had previously tried every reference to uninstalling and removing all aspects of the software but still had the problem. I shared with the person on the phone that I had an actual error that software developers could use. I'm guessing the string of packages that need to be applied is greater than the field used to store the package names.  

Was told by customer service rep that they have no way to get the error to the developer so to put the error here.  You now tell me to call again.  🙂 

I asked for a code to run Turbotax in windows.  I can run a windows emulator on my mac. But they could not give me a new code. So I have to go to costco, return the software and buy another copy.  There must be a better way! 🙂

Having the same issue.  Downloads the package and then the extract fails and hangs at 90%.  iOS 10.14.6.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Their support doesn't seem to have the ability to address any "difficult" issues.  They just give the standard "reinstall" advice. And like I said earlier, when there is an actual bug that gives an uncaught error, they don't have the mechanism to get these bugs to support.   That is sad for such a large organization.

It really is sad.  Look if we are capable of doing our own taxes, we are savvy enough to figure out computers and software.  So we aren't looking for the general public answers like "did you turn on the computer", "do you know how to install and uninstall, etc.".  We aren't reaching out because we feel like it, the product is defective and they cannot support us.  We've already scoured the web looking for answers, we've uninstalled, etc.  Short of going into regedit and directories to wipe files, we are reaching out because this issue is not uninstall, re-install fixable

Ugh. I have the same issues. Anyone had any luck. Of course done the uninstall and re-install. 2 different discs and a download. Still no luck. Says its verifying everything is up to date then closes. Mine stopped in the middle of preparing taxes. Very frustrating. Here's the error code. Not sure it will help. Called it in, received the download and reinstall directions.

Same Problem, finished my taxes a few weeks back, filed online, received accepted message from IRS, taxes not found at IRS, go to relaunch Turbo to check, needs updated gets to the end of install and times out after less then a minute

I can't use Turbotax 2020 home and business because an update freezes on extraction. No error code displayed. I've rebooted, turned off router\, reset modem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled from Intuit email.

It still freezes.

I total uninstalled an INTEGO virus app and retried and the update completed. Now looking for a different virus program. I don't know for sure if this was it. Maybe it was the 20th attempt.
