This year turbo tax didn’t ask about my healthcare insurance any idea why?

This issue doesn’t represent being ”intuit” does it.  I’ve used them for years..Now never again.  Now I have to miss out on their claim of fast returns.Really disappointing service. We should all receive a refund for using their services. Very Bad experience!

I agree....especially with them already being sued. And I went with the free file this year but of course got all the way to the end of filing and it tells me that if I want to get a $600 credit for my retirement I have to pay. So I wound up having to pay the $80 or whatever it was for this useless crap job of filing. So pissed.

TurboTax has screwed soooo many people this year including myself by not asking for health insurance documents. Many of us still get marketplace health insurance and we pay for TT service to insure we are filing correctly! Just because there is no penalty for health insurance anymore doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be required to provide marketplace forms! This is a huge mess and no it is not our fault. It is on TurboTax!!! I have been using them for ten years and I will never again use them! Everyone of us should get our money back with our refunds! This is absolute bull****!!! Thanks so much for screwing us over TurboTax and taking our money!

Like many of you, I received my letter from the IRS today telling me about the missing 8962. Kind of sad that the website can ask me multiple times during the process if I want to upgrade to MaxGuard (or whatever it's called) but it can't ask me once if I received a 1095-A.

I always file early with Turbo Tax. Next year I'll be seriously looking at the competition.

To access IRS form 1095-A entry, follow these instructions.

• Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
• Across the top of the screen, click on Deductions & credits.
• Scroll down to Medical.  Click Show more.
• Under Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A), click Start / Revisit.

I had completed my return on the 1/25/2020. It was accepted on 1/28/2020 with the expected date of refund 2/17/2020 which was President Day. Two weeks before the 17th I got a letter requesting the form 1095-A and the other form from the IRS.  The 1095-A will come from the health care market place.  The IRS do have a fax number on the the letter to fax the information over you dont have to mail it.  Please dont do the amended return unless you have to because it will take longer for your refund.  It states that also in the letter from the IRS. I did that last year and didn't get my return until May of 2019. This year I fax it and hopefully I will see my refund by the end of February.

Faxing will get the information to the right place quickest.  Use the information provided in the IRS letter.

Although you no longer are subjected to a penalty for not having health insurance,  health insurance coverage is still recommended.   

The premium credit is still available and reportable for tax purposes.

I scanned my documents from my printer and uploaded them to my computer then faxed them using Hellofax: https://www.hellofax.com/.  I faxed early in the morning around 1am and had no problems. Now having to wait is the hardest. I would've had my money yesterday. I don't even know if I did it right because that form is so confusing.

That doesn't help ANY of us in this thread, who already filed. TurboTax needs to remedy this situation and make the instructions clear on the software.
