The 1098-T section will not accept "Filer's federal ID no." and states that it is an "Invalid EIN". I know the number is correct. What is the problem?

The filer's ID number isn't matching up against the federal database, for some reason.

All you can do is verify the ID number -- call the school if you haven't already -- but in all likelihood, the number on your 1098-T is correct.

If you've verified that the ID number is correct as you entered it, and you e-file again, the IRS' e-File system will almost surely reject your return once more.  At that point, your only option will be to paper-file your return and send it in.

Please see the TurboTax Help articles "How do I print and mail my return in TurboTax Online?" or How do I print and mail a return in the TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software?as appropriate for guidance on paper-filing.
