Should 1099 DIV Reinvested Be Reported

Hi,

Looking for some advice. The 1099 Div 1a box should be reported for tax purposes, although it is automatically reinvested in the same stock?

Thank you for your feedback!

yes, do not overthink it! if it is on a form you receive, enter it!

your received the dividends, so it is income, then you turned right around and reinvest it.

but since it is income, it is taxable.
