Turbotax Premier does NOT offer a static option to pay taxes with a credit card. To pay taxes by credit card in Turbotax Premier:
1. Select the option to Pay By Check instead, which will display a message reminding you to send a check by the April 15 deadline and allow you to proceed with filing.
2. Once you complete and submit your filing in Turbotax, wait for the emails from the IRS and your State saying your taxes were Accepted.
3. Then go to the IRS website and your State's website and use their credit card systems to pay your taxes (charges apply).
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment. For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.

Thanks for your reply, but Turbotax Premier does not let you proceed to filing unless you select whether you are paying by bank account, check or setting up a payment plan. There is no option that says, "pay by credit card". One must file first, in order for there to be a record in the IRS website to pay the taxes with a credit card. Hence my post outlining the steps I took to file and pay my taxes with a credit card in Turbotax Premier.
