Unemployment Income (or pandemic unemployment - no difference ) is taxable income on your federal return plus some of the states, but not all, also consider this as taxable income. For Tax Year 2020, it was excluded up to $10,200 from taxation. That was just a one time exclusion. We don't know yet, if that might happen again.
