Need technical help with typing in dollar amounts. It’s automatically putting the commas in the wrong place

I expect what's happening is you are using cents in your entries and putting the decimal point in the wrong place or not hitting it hard enough for it to show at all.  Try using whole numbers without the cents.  Round up if necessary.  Or, go back and delete the cents and make sure you enter the decimal point before the cents.
