What choices do I need to make to get the most money on my paycheck without owing taxes when filling? I am a state employee, divorced, head of household, with one child, who lives in Maryland.

Hi andbarbo! It can be tricky finding that sweet spot of just the right amount of take home pay and still not owe taxes when filing your tax return!

There is a W-4 Calculator that walks you step by step through the worksheet that is a great starting point,

Once you complete the form, give it to your employer. Then, keep a close eye on your next few paychecks to see how the changes impacted your federal income tax withholding.
