Re: Income tax refund for unemployment

My wife received $9800 in unemployment in 2020, which we included on our 2020 tax form. When and how can we expect the refund for those taxes paid? The IRS website is no help at all. Thanks!

The IRS is still processing adjustments for the unemployment exclusion. Your modified adjusted gross income must be less than $150,000 in order to be eligible for the $10,200 exclusion on the 2020 federal income tax return.
