In TT Desktop/Business, how can I paste full numbers like $5,654.11

I frequently copy and paste numbers from other applications into TT desktop.

Yet, TT does not accept dollar sign $ or comma (,) or (parens).  This means I generally paste the numbers into a calculator, then re-copy and re-paste.

Is there a better way?  Way to get Intuit to allow full paste?

No, you simply cannot have $ or , in the numbers you paste.

Answers are correct to the best of my ability but do not constitute legal or tax advice.
