I don't know what you would need to go to a tax advocate for a incorrect SSN unless it is an ongoing problem. Who reported the wrong SSN? Was in on a W-2. Does the employer refuse to change it?
There must be more to this than meets the eye so it is hard to advise on such sketchy information .
