@keshavpk - why do you think you should have a credit? Normally, they take one of three forme
1) withholdings from your W-2 (these are technically payments but do reduce what you owe)
2) estimated payments you made (these are technically payments but do reduce what you owe)
3) reductings in tax, generally this relates to having children or low income, other people in your household that are dependents, tax credits for purchase of an EV or energy related tax credits.
I don't think we understand your question. Do you have payments or credits on your return you don't know what they are or where they came from? What lines on your 1040 return don't you understand? Did you file an extension? Maybe it thinks you made a payment with an extension?
