In the spirit of making everything even out you'll need to report this but use For 1040 Schedule 1 Part I Line 8z Other income to report whatever income was listed on the 1099, let's say Incorrect 1099 Issued $500. Then write it off on Schedule 1 Part II Line 24z Other Adjustments Incorrect 1099 Issued $500.
