Are you thinking ahead for 2020 tax returns?  If you and your children live with your BF for the entire year, he can claim you as his dependents., provided your own income is less than $4200 for 2020.    But unless you are legally married, all he gets is a $500 credit for other dependents for each of you.  He will not be eligible for any other child-related credits like earned income credit, child tax credit, childcare credit--and he will not have a qualifying dependent to file as Head of Household so will still have to file as Single.

Yes if you all lived with him the Whole year.  He can't claim them as his children but only as Other Dependent.  Do you mean for 2019 or 2020 next year?  What about their father?

He can only claim you if you lived with him the whole year and you have less than 4,200 total income.
