I entered info for a professional conference in job related expenses. IRS says it's deductible but it is not being calculated in federal tax due. What am I doing wrong?

if you're an employee  for 2019 all job related expenses are not deductible except for

Armed Forces reservists, qualified performing artists, fee-basis state or local government officials, and employees with impairment-related work expenses

if  you qualify then a box on line c of the form must be checked

the expenses should appear on schedule 1 line 11
