I am a permanent resident of this SNF long term care facility. Where is that entered?

I made a big error.  I accidentally entered the $48016.50 that Genwotth LTCi paid to the ltc facility, as a refund to me. In addition, I also paid my ltc facility $16890.33 from my SS.

You will need to delete the refund showing for the LTC benefits and if you received a 1099-LTC from your service provider, you need to enter that into TurboTax.  Enter it as follows:

After you have logged in and are in your return:

• Go to Search at the top of the screen.
• then enter Form 1099-LTC, long-term care - distribution the search box. 
• You will see a Jump To function that will take you to the 1099-LTC input screens. 
• There add the 1099-LTC amounts and continue through to the end.

You will want to have the total annual cost for your long term care when you start entering the amounts.
