You only have to pay once unless you added something.   We don't know yet why it's asking you to pay.   More info is needed.

What exactly is it asking you to pay for now?

You appear to be using online Self-Employed Edition.

What exactly did you pay for originally?

Did you upgrade to a higher level after you had paid?

Or did you add a state return after you paid?

Or did you purchase a desktop edition (CD/download) but used Online TurboTax by mistake instead of using your installed software?

Please follow the instructions on how to see your TurboTax fees on the page How do I review my fees in TurboTax Online? to determine what the extra charges are for. Then, to see how to reduce any possible fees that you may have, please see What can I do to reduce my fees?

You appear to be using Online Self-Employed Edition.  At that is least what is displayed under your original question.  Did you upgrade from a lower product that you had already paid for?

What do you see when you check your fees like @ LenaH suggested above?

You didn't answer the bulk of the questions I asked in my original answer above.  So we don't really know much more at this point.   So far we still have no idea what you purchased originally.

What product did you already pay for????    Here are some examples:

Did you start in a lower Online edition and upgraded to a higher level?

Or did you purchase desktop TurboTax (CD/download) but used the Online website by mistake instead of the software?

Or was it something else?

Have you already e-filed and you are needing to complete an amendment?  Is this your first filing of the year?  Please provide more details here in the thread, and someone will assist with the next steps.

What is meant by "again"--what did you buy the first time?   Could it be this:   Did you purchase desktop software (CD/download), but used Online TurboTax instead of your desktop software?

If so, we can tell you how to download the *.tax2021 data file to finish in your desktop software without starting over.

If that's not it, then you'll need to explain more as TurboTax @HeatherPLO requested.

No to all your questions.  This is just another Intuit scam

E-filing fee in desktop software

Did you purchase desktop software with state software included?  They sell Deluxe both with and without state software--so you have to be careful which one you choose.  And even if it does have the state software download included, that is for preparing the state.  There is an extra fee to e-file the state. Before March 1 that fee is $20; after March 1 it increases to $25.  You can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail the state instead of e-filing it.

You are commenting on an older thread and we will need additional information to be able to assist you further. What steps are you attempting where it is trying to charge you for state again?  Please post additional details here and we will be happy to help you.
