Hi Dave F,

Thanks for your question. Generally your withholdings from W2 earnings will result in too much withholdings. There are always exceptions. Do you have other sources of income other than your W2(s)? It sounds like you may want to fill out a new W4 with your employer. That will change your withholdings to the standard rate that is applicable to your yearly income for that W2. W4 Calculator  Check out Intuit's W4 calculator to make sure you have the right withholdings for your specific situation.
