Obviously, you have to install the software on your computer.
If you purchased the program directly from Intuit, you can download the executable file from the site below.

If you need to file a state return, you would purchase the particular state product from within the program in the State Taxes section.
I did install the software and started on my return. My computer encountered an error and shut down. Now I can't get back to where I was. I can't download it again because it is already on my computer. I am assuming that, obviously, the work I had already completed was not saved. Everything I see when I log back in to TurboTax is wanting me to purchase more product. Obviously, I do not need to purchase/download more product. How do I log back in so I can continue with my return?

If the program is already, and in fact, installed on your computer you do not need to "log back in"; you simply start the program by clicking on the icon or the executable file.
If the program will not start for some reason, you might want to try doing a repair install.
