Do I need to claim income of $750 from babysitting

I babysit a couple times a week and was wondering if there was a monetary threshold I needed to reach before having to claim it on my taxes.

Yes. Your babysitting income is self-employment income and should be included on your tax return. The IRS requires you to file if you had at least $400 in net earnings from self-employment (income minus expenses).

Yes, the tax law says you have to claim all income from all sources. This would be considered self-employment income. When you have self-employment income, the IRS treats you as a business. You report your income on Schedule C.
