City taxes is asking for hours and not amount on w2 . But it will not let me put in for example 2.5 hours worked in the city.

Typically the state/city tax interview is asking for two numbers; total hours worked in the city and total hours worked for the employer in order to get a ratio.  The ratio is then multiplied by the income on your W2 in order to allocate the correct amount of wages to the city. 

 

Usually you will have a choice to allocate using hours or days whichever works in your situation.
