Can I file married filing jointly if my spouse died in 2018?

You could have filed jointly in 2018, the year of her death but now you have to file as single if you have not remarried or do not have a qualifying child living with you.

You can file Married Filing Jointly for the year of their death.  Sorry for your loss.
