1098-T and 1099-Q - Does the student enter anything about these forms on their return if Parent's return already does?

The 1098-T and 1099-Q appear on my return (parent's) and qualify for AOTC credits and tax free distribution for the Coverdell ESA. My Dependent daughter must file a return for unrelated reasons, but do we ignore the Turbotax interview questions regarding 1098-T and 1099-Q on her return?

If your daughter is your dependent, you are correct in claiming her 1098-T and 1099-Q.

Your daughter does not have to enter 1099-Q on her return. As for form 1098-T, she only has to enter it on her tax return only when scholarships in box 5 are greater than box 1.
