We have 14 MISC forms and 8 NEC forms. When I preview the documents for printing, there is a 1096 to accompany each form. There should be only two 1096 forms.

As per this TurboTax Help Article, if you file electronically, you don't need Form 1096. It is only required for paper filing of Form 1099s with the IRS.
Thank you for your reply. I understand that it does not matter for e-filing the forms. However, this seems to offset the intent of the 1096 form and adds a lot of extra unnecessary pages for the copy that we keep internally.
