Question: why is it costing $90.00 for both federal and state return? My friend just didn’t hers using Turbo tax and it only cost her $29.95 federal and state was free.

It is possible that you may have added an add on that required an upgrade or an extra charge. To see what you are being charged for please follow the instructions in the following FAQ.

If you have not yet filed your tax return, then proceed to follow the directions in the FAQ below to remove all unwanted add ons.

Somehow you added on the LIVE expert help feature.  Live is $50 for federal and 40 for state.
