Question about getting taxes and with having a PT job in addition to a FT job.

Hello,

I'm considering getting a part time job in addition to my FT job. I had done this once before and claimed myself with both jobs since no one else claims me and then I got hit with paying close to $1000 when I filed my taxes. I was told I shouldn't have claimed 1 with the part time job but I can't remember what they told me I should've done instead. Should I be claiming 0 when I fill out the W-4 for the PT job so I don't get hit with paying so much come tax time?
