If you are using the mobile app for TurboTax you can  take a picture of your W-2 as follows:

1. Sign in to the app (if you're not already signed in) and navigate to the W-2 photo screen
2. Tap "Snap a photo of my W-2".
3. Follow the TurboTax instructions to optimize your photo image
4. Continue following the on screen instructions to upload your W-2.

Here's how to take a picture of your W-2 and upload it to TurboTax Online:

1. Continue your return
2. Go to Form W-2.
3. After entering the employer ID from your W-2, select "Snap a photo with your phone" on the screen that says, "How would you like to add your W-2? "
4. Open your phone’s camera, hold it over the QR code, and tap the link that appears. 
5. You'll be prompted on your phone to take a photo of your W-2.

Note: If: If you have an iPhone, it must use iOS 14 or higher. If you have an Android phone, it must use Android 8 or higher.

If your phone is an Android phone:

1. Open your phone settings
2. Select "Apps" or " Apps & Notifications" 
3. Select "Default Apps".
4. Select "Opening links" and turn on Instant Apps.
5. Select "Instant App preferences" and turn on "Upgrade web links"
