Purchased two Costco TurboTax Deluxe codes and got charged at the end

The first taxes I did went smoothly and no extra charges at the end. The second one charged me to file my state taxes even though the product I used was the same as the first.

One state is included with your first return and then a charge for additional state returns. This link may be helpful to see the pricing.

Did you buy the Desktop download program?   Why did you buy 2 codes?   The Desktop program can do unlimited returns and efile 5 federal for free.   You get 1 free state download program BUT it is $25 to efile each state return including the first one.  If you didn’t get charged for the first state efile you may have selected to have it deducted from your refund.   

Or did you somehow end up in the Online version?
