Purchased 2016 Turbotax 2/16/2017 from Intuit. I downloaded 2017. Computer hacked, everything lost. Why does Intuit not have 2016 on file?

Does Intuit store my data in my 2016 return or is all my input information lost?

If you used the desktop version of TurboTax software downloaded or installed to your own hard drive, your tax return files were only stored on your own computer's hard drive or any backup devices you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. You can get a free transcript from the IRS or an actual copy from the IRS for a fee of $50.
