Premier costs $59.99, but says state tax additional, what is the cost for the state?

The answer back to this question was that I could buy both Federal sand State for $89.99, but when I go to buy it comes back costing $99.99, whats going on?

You are seeing prices for both the Online web version  for $59.99 plus state extra 39.99

And the Desktop program you install on your computer is $99.99

They are 2 different things.  The Desktop program includes a free state program download but then it is 19.99 to efile the state return or you can print and mail the state for free.

Plus there are several other differences between the Online web version and the Desktop installed program.  And the Desktop program has more features, like the Desktop program can do more than 1 return.
