Possible Software Defect in TurboTax

I'm writing because I've observed anomalous behavior in TurboTax 2021 (Premier for Mac) regarding the Standard Deduction for married couples filing jointly.  The problem relates to the value on the Form 1040-SR worksheet, line 12b.  Here's what I saw:

After completing the Federal portion of our taxes, I ran Smart Check and found no errors.  We're married filing jointly, over 65, have no dependents, and chose the Standard Deduction.  The value on the Form 1040-SR worksheet, line 12b, is $600, as it should be.

I then completed our state taxes (CA) and ran the state review.  The state review found no errors.

I then went to the top-level "review" tab to run the final review for both Federal and State taxes.  That final review reported an erroneous value in the Form 1040-SR worksheet, line 12b.  When i checked the value by going to the form, I found that it had been changed from the value for married couples filing jointly ($600) to the value for a single filer or married filing separately ($300).

I would appreciate any help anyone could suggest.

It's the review that is changing the amount. When you get the error in the federal review, change the amount to $600. Then do not repeat the federal review. Or if you do repeat the federal review, change it back to $600 again. See the following FAQ.
