There is a possible bug in 2025 turbotax home and business with the IRA distribution entry for personal income. Although the IRA distribution field under the Personal Income tab says "Available soon", when the "Sign up for email alerts" button is pressed, it signs up for "Form 3903" moving expenses, which would seem to be a bug since moving expenses have nothing to do with IRA distributions. Then, the IRA distributiion functionality might be erroneously blocked due to some delay in the irrelevant moving expenses form 3903.

I am having the safe difficulty. I then received a message from TurboTax that Form 3903 is now available.....which I do not need! Weird.
Same is true with 1099-B: Email alert is tied incorrectly to 3903 (which is already available).
1099-G and Schedule E email alert request web pages show the expected form.
Be nice if email alerts for 1099-B & R were set up correctly.
yeah seems to be just a bug on the email signup, annoying but not critical as you can easily check the app. check back towards end of next week, no one in this forum really knows but expectation is a big update coming next week after a few weeks without one, and more in the weeks following.
if you're trying to do estimates for Q4 ES payment you can try entering in forms mode or use a simpler online calculator like this for now
I'm experiencing the same problem. A little frustrating as I would like to start to run some scenarios on the way ahead. Doesn't seem like it should be that big of an issue to resolve. With the push to move to online maybe the desktop app is a low priority and if we get frustrated enough we would flip to online to do our taxes....
I have been using TTax for many years. In the last few years, the desktop version of the software (Premier) has been increasingly problematic, especially in the timeliness of the release of forms (in my case, 8949). The IRS posted this form in mid-December, but it is still unavailable after TTax update today.
you are too kind calling it a "possible" bug. And it is STILL not fixed. As a turbo tax user of about 30 years I expect MUCH better quality!
All forms needed for IRA items are not yet available. We have a list of forms and their availability on TurboTax here: TurboTax Forms availability . Some forms on that list for IRA - Form 5329, for example - are showing availability of January 28. Updates to the availability of forms will be posted at that link.
Thanks for that info. But it still does not address the BUG where the wrong info is being linked in the application.
And wouldn't it be nice if the link you provided is actually in the Turbotax application itself?

"The target date for Form 1099-R is still 1/21/26. The wrong form 3903 issue for email sign up has been identified and is in the process of being corrected.
In the meantime, you can use the 1099-R Worksheet in FORMS to fill in your pension amounts to continue tax calculations. "
I have the same problem. How can I set up an email alert for when the 1099-R form becomes available? I don't need a 3903 form. Thanks!
just ignore the email signup for now. it's supposed to be available 1/21 so just check later in the week.
Will TurboTax 2025 ever Handle IRA Distribution?
I am so frustrated that I am ready to migrate to H&R Block
