Filed federal taxes 3 days ago still pending Filed state taxes 6 hours ago came back rejected due to Federal being rejected. How is that if federal still showing pending?

Please wait for the Federal return to be "accepted" by the IRS before attempting to e-filing the State. If the reject persists, you will need to print your State return and mail it to the appropriate State taxing authority. This can happen if Federal was filed before the State. You should not have any issues after the Federal status changes to "Accepted".

Please wait for the Federal return to be "accepted" by the IRS before attempting to e-filing the State. If the reject persists, you will need to print your State return and mail it to the appropriate State taxing authority. This can happen if Federal was filed before the State.
