I am so angry I've been trying to file my tax all day and it's just not happening. this is so redundant I tried to file free then it wants to charge me 175.00 I can't afford then I went online to buy a disk got the for 82.00 but can not get it to open. Ive been a customer since 2000 but I'm fixing to go full media blitz on how bad turbo tax is and how it does not respect past customers. I am just so angry I don't know what to do.

Use the TurboTax Free File program if you are eligible - https://freefile.intuit.com/
If you are eligible you can use the TurboTax Free File Program which is free to file both a federal and state tax return. The Free File Program edition is a full featured personal tax program and on a separate website from the TurboTax online editions.

To qualify for free 2019 federal and state tax returns with the Free File Program, you'll need to meet at least one of these requirements:

• A maximum 2019 adjusted gross income (AGI) of $36,000; or
• You qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); or
• You served as active duty military (including Reservists and National Guard) with a maximum 2019 AGI of $69,000 (you'll also need a military-issued W-2).

@photofixer03   Are you on Windows or Mac? The CD has both programs on it.  Why can't you install it?  Any error message or code?  You can't get the program to open or your return to open?

You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
