Yes you can use your mobile device or any device you are using to upload your W2 and it’s free. I do it every year for at least 3 different ppl

Snapping a photo of your W-2 is only for using the mobile app.  You cannot use it for "any" device.

You absolutely can take a picture of your w2 with your phone or any other device and upload it. That’s what the options there for. It’s totally free also. Hope this helps. Just double check all information gets transferred when you do. Sometimes it only obtains partial info
