So your efiled 2018 return was rejected due to an incorrect 2017 AGI?

Since you only recently filed your 2017 return, your 2017 AGI will obviously not be in the IRS database.

So when efiling your 2018 return, you would enter a 2017 AGI of 0 (zero.)    You can go ahead and try to efile the 2018 return again now using the 2017 AGI of 0.

There's no need to wait for the 2017 return to process since even then it probably wouldn't help when one is filed this late.

This is a public Internet forum.  For your privacy and security please do not post personal info in the forum.  TurboTax Support will not phone you from the forum, but no telling who else might try to do so and could pretend to be from TurboTax to scam you.

The Free Edition does not have phone support unless upgraded to PLUS.

If you provide the reason for the rejection (error code/message), you may get advice in this forum today.

I completed my 2017 taxes (very late) the same day I filed the e-return on my 2018 taxes.  It was too late to e-file the 2017 return, so I sent it by snail mail.  The on the 2018 return, I was asked for the AGI from my 2017 return, which is still in USPS custody.  I'm sure that's why by 2018 return was rejected.  The only thing I can think of to do is wait for several weeks, then refile when the IRS has had time to receive the 2017 return and get it into the system.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

While I deserve sarcastic comments about filing on time in the future, they would be less than helpful.  But if the temptation is too great, do what you have to do.

Thanks
