Getting this error after everything is complete. I had added a 1099-Q for our 529 but went ahead and removed that and am still getting this error. Clicking on "Fix" just loops me back to the error.
I've already paid for the product and I cannot file or print due to this error.

Took over an hour to figure this one out. TurboTax was not helpful. Believe this was due to claiming elementary school expenses against a QTP distribution, but no 1098-T issued since it is not higher education.
Here's how I fixed it:
1) Go to education expenses (NOT 1099-Q section, but the 1098-T section, even though I didn't have one)
2) Select child, edit their school info
3) Choose that they did attend a qualified school and enter all the info. It can be fake info since you're going to remove it in the next step. If you put your tuition payments in here, it will be doubled since the elementary tuition is entered separately on the worksheet.
4) Edit school info again, but change their attendance to a qualified school to No.
5) Save and check for errors again, should be fixed.
I get the same thing, an endless loop. I can't figure out what field Enrollmentstatus is referring to.

This fixed it! Thank you. My guess is you have to go through that process to toggle them to be "full time students" in some background form. Thanks for posting!
THANK YOU!!!!!
I found I could go to 'Forms' and just delete the worksheet. Then go back to 'step-by-step' and run the error check again. Poof - no errors.
Deleting 'Pers on the return' form worked beautifully. Spent waaaay too much time trying to bypass. THANKS!!!
I also had this issue, except it was my name on the error message, even though my wife was the one with the 1098-T.
I fixed it in a similar way:
• Go to the 1098-T section
• Add the person whose name is in the error message as a student
• Enter a bunch of bogus information to get through the form
• Delete the bogus entry
Hope this helps anyone else running into this problem.
Thank you for posting this. I've spent 2.5 hrs trying to correct this stupid error.
This workaround did not fix the error message.
YES!!!!!!
thank you so much for posting this. I've been sitting on my taxes for a week because I couldn't get past this section.
Go into “Forms” under the “View” tab.
Select the student dependent “Person on the Return” worksheet.
Select “Delete Form” and then confirm the deletion.
A new form will instantly and automatically generate. This form will also have the “TP/SP” field blank but the error will mysteriously go away and you can proceed.
THANK YOU...saved my sanity. Worked like a charm.
@justinj2000 Thanks for this recommendation. Can you clarify, in your Steps 3 & 4, what form are you making those changes on? In all the relevant places I've indicated our dependent is a high school student, but the Student Info worksheet now autofills with both highschool and college, seemingly triggered by adding the 1098-Q form (with zero $$)? Thank you for any insights.
@justinj2000 Sorry, I meant 1098-T, not 1098-Q. And follow-up: I deleted the 1098-T after I initially added it, and still no errors - good news! The bad news, it still shows the dependent student as both college & high school, even though all my entries state high school only. Ugh!
