No one can call you from the user forum. We do not call users. Paying your TurboTax fee did not file your tax return. You had to go all the way through the FILE section and click a big orange button that said "Transmit my returns now." If you did not do that, then your return was not filed. Or if it rejected and you did not follow up and re-file or mail it instead, it was not filed. At this point---if your 2019 return was not filed, the only way to file it is to print it, sign it ink and mail it in. E-filing closed in October.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline. If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.
There is no fee to efile a return ... the cost was for the use of the program to complete a return that can be filed even if you have to mail it in.
First log into your account... scroll down and look at the 2019 return status ... did you efile the return ? Was it rejected or accepted ? Or does it say printed or ready to mail ?
