I had the same situation. I only had Obama Care Jan-Feb. Then I enrolled in my employers health insurance Mar-Dec. When Turbo Tax asks you if you had health coverage all year, and you state "YES". Then it prompts you to indicate if you had Obama Care or not, and from your 1095-A form from the Healthcare Market Place, you enter what is asked. Because you only enter the $$ listed on the 1095 through July or August, Turbo Tax automatically recognizes that you must of had a different insurance the rest of the year. You do not get a deduction for HAVING (PPO) health coverage. You might actually end up OWING back money from the discount you received from the Obama Care. I really hope this made sense. =D
Pretty much Turbo Tax "takes your word for it" when it comes to NOT having to indicate which type of health coverage (normally PPO plans or any that are NOT listed with the Obama Care) you had for the remaining of the year.
