Did you ever get past this issue? I am experiencing the same thing and cannot support to help.
I ended up switching from my Mac to a Windows computer and resolved this issue. Not sure why, but both Chrome and Safari on a Mac presented the Oops, something went wrong message. As soon as I logged into Chrome on a Windows computer, I was able to move forward.
