My fed.return paid what i owed for past taxes then my state return was taken to when will i get my money back??? barbara

Once the IRS and/or state connects the state refund payment and recognizes that your federal refund already paid the past tax amount due, the state refund will eventually be released to you.  Unfortunately, the time frame for this is not specifically provided.
