You have until the tax deadline to pay any balance owed (April 17th, 2018).
For the IRS, you will have the opportunity to indicate whether you want to pay your balance due by check or by scheduling a direct debit from your account. If you indicate a check payment, then a Form 1040-V voucher will print for you to send in with your check.
Its also usually easier to just go directly to the IRS website to make a payment - you can just tell the program you are paying by check and then make the payment directly at the website instead.
