On my state return I am getting an error that says my employer tax ID number is not correct. I have double checked it and it is correct. Any ideas how to fix this?

WHICH STATE? It varies..

IF for Utah, the final three letters of the state ID number must be entered as CAPITAL letters.

(OK: I'm just referring to a state ID number for the state tax withholding line on many tax forms)

Check with the employer ... is the number correct ? And if it is was the number issued just last month ? Are they trying to use a SS# for the EIN?
